Did the crypto crash affect blockchain gaming?

If you’ve been following crypto news, it shouldn’t come as a shock that cryptocurrency has been in a decline since May of this year. Along with this “crypto crash”, other associated projects have seen a downtrend. All except blockchain gaming and the metaverse.
These two sectors saw the least decrease in engagement following the Terra crash. In fact, some Play-to-earn NFT gaming marketplaces have witnessed an increase in the number of users this year. The amount invested in the sector, too, has remained constant with $2.5 billion dollars being invested in both Q1 and Q2 of 2022.
