Ethereal monsters stored on the blockchain are at the center of the Ethermon universe and are essential for gameplay. There are currently 53,228 monsters (add script to update). You can buy monsters directly from our official store, buy them from other players on the decentralized market, or purchase them in-game - even playing for free.
⚠ New MATIC Mons
When Ethermon switches to infrastructure Polygon Layer 2, 9 new MATIC Mons classes will be released. Soon after launch, you will be able to seamlessly use the cross-platform MATIC Mons in both Decentraland and 2D modes.
Young MATIC Mons are still getting used to their powers and have not yet learned to draw enough to transform beyond their original forms (e.g. Form 1). However, it is only a matter of time before those who are at a sufficiently high level are the first to break through to the next form.

Variety

Coins are initially named according to their species (eg Naviumi), although each monster within a species is a unique NFT with its own set of randomly generated combat characteristics.

Each of the 17 types of Gaysons draws their defensive power from one type of elemental. Although they belong to the first generation of Mon, they have focused all their energies on preserving their own species. As a result, they are weak attackers, cannot create new offspring species, and cannot transform into higher forms.

Athermon's universe is home to many types of Mon, with each new species being created by an alliance between 3 monks, who thus become ancestors. Unlike the Lawns, the Ancestors are often powerful monsters who often risk their own survival - and sometimes the survival of their own kind - to embark on new adventures. This often means that these species have limited populations, and some endangered species have fewer than 100 monsters.

How to Transform Your Mon
When your Mon is ready, all 3 of its ancestors must be present so that it can use enough power to transform. Few rare species of first generation Mons can benefit from their own power to transform without any ancestors.
To transform Mon into its next highest form, you need to collect all of its ancestors. When Mon transforms, its level resets to 1, and its base stats reset within the higher point ranges associated with its new form. Taller forms also usually have higher growth trajectories, which means that some of your transformed Mon's stats will now grow at a faster rate (for example, 6 points per level versus 3 points per level).
In general, higher form monas are much stronger than their lower form counterparts, especially when they reach higher levels.

Types
Each type of monk draws strength from up to 2 of the 17 types of elements that have evolved over time in conjunction with each other. In combat, each type has a key strength and a key weakness against exactly one other type in its ecosystem, as shown below. Otherwise, the effect of each type is neutral, and battles are won only by the combat power of your Mon.
Adventure Sites
In 2018, we launched an in-chain adventure mode where you can pay a small ETH or EMONT fee to send your monks in a chain to randomly explore one of 54 adventure sites that match their type. After the set time has passed, your Mon will return with a valuable reward with varying drop rates, including in-game currency, powerful items, and even rare monsters that can only be found in adventures.
During the initial open auction, each of The 54 Adventure sites were split equally into 10 shares awarded as NFT ER-721 to the highest bidder. Each site is co-hosted by its shareholders, who receive 90% of the adventure royalties paid by players (proportional to their shares), and the remaining 10% support the ongoing development of the game.
Although the future of adventure sites is still is under construction, some have reported that site owners are building something similar to Ethermon gyms.
These sites can now be bought and sold on the OpenSea marketplace.

Adventure Mode will be relaunched soon with significant improvements and will continue to operate over the air (ETH). However, travel to the old regions of the Metaverse of Ethermon, which were built on the rusty foundation of Ethereum Layer 1, remains costly.
Rumors of a potential gold rush are circulating throughout the Metaverse of Ethermon - a window of opportunity that will open soon ... Rumor has it that wild monks roam uncontrollably around adventure sites, while monks have become a rarity due to the high cost of travel. As these wild adventurous monk species expanded and crossed, the next generation of 9 new species was born - matic mons, who would soon take over the territories surrounding the adventure sites from their ancestors.

Accelerator Shards
Monons are born with an imperfect set of combat characteristics in 6 attributes: (health, primary and secondary attack, primary and secondary defense and speed.
However, each of these attributes is associated with a magic stone. Shards of these stones are scattered throughout the adventure map and exist in three forms: diamond, hexagon and octagon. By combining all 3 shard shapes from one stone, you can permanently boost one of your Mon's attributes by one point.
This remains the only way to permanently improve the base characteristics of your Mon.
Level Stones
At lower levels, Mons can rise relatively quickly.However, at higher levels, leveling up takes much longer. Although rare, you can find a level gem in various adventure areas, allowing you to advance one of your monks up to two levels.
Experience Potions
Collect these powerful potions to increase your monster's EXP by 50, 100, 200, and even 20,000 to help them advance to the next level faster.
