Offline and Online Play
As a rule, in order to record your game progress on the blockchain, you need to send an on-chain transaction. However, waiting for a transaction to complete and accumulating fees can quickly take away the fun of blockchain gaming.
We believe that the best gaming experience involves lightning fast transactions at a fraction of the cost. While you are waiting for the upgrade to level 2, you can still play for free offline - for example, fight in PvP in a ranked tournament on our website or in PvE in Decentraland.
To help you avoid frequent (and costly) transactions, your progress is recorded offline until you can more easily state your online experience, such as when you want to change your Mon.

After our Initial Decentralized Offering (IDO) on Polkastarter on May 18, 2021, you will be able to upgrade to the new gaming infrastructure on Polygon, any Etheremon assets you already own online or offline will remain in your full ownership.
After migration, you will be able to claim accumulated profits and transform your Mons network with almost free microtransactions on the Level 2 Polygon blockchain (formerly “Matic Network”).
