The NFT marketplace OpenSea has released a press release announcing the new technology. It is called Immutable X and is the scaling technology for the Ethereum [ETH] network. Thanks to Immutable X, there will be no gas fees for NFT transactions. The level of protection provided by the Ethereum network and its consensus protocol will be preserved.
The main beneficiaries of the technology are game developers and players. We also want to support the creators of Immutable X.
The technology was developed by an Austrian company that specializes in creating fast and easy trading platforms. It was created with the support of large venture capital funds. Immutable X is claimed to be a second layer Ethereum scaling solution. It is specially designed to work with NFT. After the technology launches this spring, it will be able to conduct 9,000 transactions per second at zero gas fees.
Layer 2 solutions help the network scale by conducting transactions outside the blockchain. In this case, the Ethereum network is the "first layer".
